Learning the Slovenian Language 

There are two "C's" in the Slovenian alphabet with completely different sounds.
A regular "C" sounds like an "S" in English like cigarette or century.
A "C" with a strešca over it (Č) sounds like a "Ch" sound in English like chair or chin.

There are two S's in the Slovenian alphabet with completely different sounds.
A regular "S" sounds just like it does in English like sight or sound.
An "S" with a strešca over it (Š) sounds like a "Sh" sound in English like short or shut.

There are two Z's in the Slovenian alphabet with completely different sounds.
A regular "Z" sounds just like it does in English like zebra or zoo.
A "Z" with a strešca over it (Ž) sounds like a "Zsh" sound in English like pleasure or closure.

There is no Q, W, X or Y in the Slovenian alphabet.
